Mailing Lists Manage feature loops indefinitely when Webmail is disabled in Feature List Print

Symptoms

When the “Webmail” feature is disabled in a feature list used by an accounts package, selecting “Manage” for a mailing list in cPanel / Mailing lists will loop indefinitely with no reported errors or indication of failure.

 

Description

This occurs due to a redirect to the Mailman management page on port 2096. This redirect does not occur automatically when Webmail is disabled in the feature list assigned to an accounts package.

We've opened an internal case for our development team to investigate this further. For reference, the case number is CPANEL-49595. Follow this article to receive an email notification when a solution is published in the product. 

 

Workaround

Enable Webmail in the feature list used by the accounts package in "WHM / Feature Manager" or access the Mailing Lists Manage feature manually at:

https://domain.tld/mailman/admin/listtestcp_cptest.tld

Please note domain.tld is used as an example and should be replaced by your actual domain name. Accessing the list manually is not guaranteed to work if the domain does not resolve to an IP address on the server. If you have lost the password for the Mailing List, the password can be reset by using the "Change Password" button to the far-right of a Mailing List in "cPanel / Mailing Lists".
