Symptoms

When running dnf update, you encounter an error similar to the following:

Error: 
Problem: cannot install both ea-profiles-cpanel-4:1.0-53.el8.cloudlinux.1.x86_64 and ea-profiles-cpanel-5:1.0-71.el8.cpanel.x86_64
 - installed package ea-profiles-cpanel-5:1.0-71.el8.cpanel.x86_64 obsoletes ea-profiles-cpanel < 5:1.0-71.el8.cpanel provided by ea-profiles-cpanel-4:1.0-53.el8.cloudlinux.1.x86_64
 - cannot install the best update candidate for package ea-profiles-cpanel-5:1.0-71.el8.cpanel.x86_64
 - cannot install the best update candidate for package ea-profiles-cloudlinux-4:1.0-71.1.el8.x86_64
(try to add '--allowerasing' to command line to replace conflicting packages or '--skip-broken' to skip uninstallable packages or '--nobest' to use not only best candidate packages)

Cause

The error commonly occurs when the cloudlinux-release package is out of date.

Resolution

1. Access the server's command line as the 'root' user via SSH or Terminal in WHM.

2. Update the cloudlinux-release package by running the following command:

   dnf update cloudlinux-release
