Symptoms
Running /scripts/upcp on an Ubuntu server upgrading to cPanel/WHM version 132.0.22 throws an error like the following.
[2026-01-23 10:57:51 +0000] [/usr/local/cpanel/scripts/check_plugin_pkgs] E: Unable to locate package cpanel-comet-backup-plugin
Description
The cpanel-comet-backup-plugin package is not available on Ubuntu.
We've opened an internal case for our development team to investigate this further. For reference, the case number is CPANEL-51213. Follow this article to receive an email notification when a solution is published in the product.
Workaround
This issue has been resolved with a re-publish of the comet package for Ubuntu server. If you still see this behavior occur please let us know so we can review.
