Update to latest cPanel 110, 126, or 128 versions removes "addonfeatures" directory. Print

  • 0

Symptoms

After updating to cPanel versions 11.110.0.65, 11.126.0.21, or 11.128.0.11, some cPanel plugins or features are no longer functioning properly.  After further review, it is found that the following directory has been removed:

/usr/local/cpanel/whostmgr/addonfeatures

Description

The files in this location determine what plugins and features are available for users. If this folder and subsequent files are removed, then plugins that use this system will not work properly. This directory has been erroneously removed as part of the latest cPanel update for versions 110, 126, and 128.

Workaround

At this time, we have released a fix for this issue. With this, any missing cPanel files will be recreated during your server's nightly updates. If the fix needs to be applied right away, this can be done with the following command:

/scripts/autorepair fix_addon_features

Once this has been run, we recommend taking a moment to review any third-party plugins that may have been installed on the server to confirm there are no other issues. If any other issues are encountered, those plugins would need to be reinstalled.
