  • 0

Symptoms

When attempting to log in, an error is returned.

There has been an error. Please close the page and try again.

The WPTK log will contain a similar error to the following message.

Response: {"status":0,"statusmsg":"Invalid license file:
cPanel & WHM cannot verify your license during the upgrade process.
Wait five minutes, and then try again."}
in /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/wp-toolkit/plib/library/Service/Cpanel
/CpanelApiExecutor.php:58

Description

Attempting to log in to wp-admin from inside WP2 runs API calls, which can interact with or validate the license. When an update is running, license validations may be on pause or on hold until the update has finished.

We've opened an internal case for our development team to investigate this further. For reference, the case number is WPX-8665. Follow this article to receive an email notification when a solution is published in the product.

Workaround

Wait a few moments for updates to complete, and then try a new login.
