Server Error: 500 Could not locate a working php-cgi Print

Symptoms

When attempting to access phpMyAdmin, you receive an error similar to the following.

[2023-04-05 18:32:19 +0800] info [whostmgrd] Internal Server Error: "GET /cpsess2141646598/cgi/softaculous/index.php HTTP/1.1" 500 Could not locate a working php-cgi

 

Description

This issue occurs when the cpanel-php package is missing and needs to be installed.

 

Workaround

  1. Access the server's command line as the 'root' user via SSH or "Terminal" in WHM.
  2. Run the check_cpanel_pkgs/code script.
    /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/check_cpanel_pkgs --fix
